ZALMA, MO (Show Me Live) — An 18-year-old Zalma R-V high school student has been arrested for allegedly threatening another student. Bollinger County Sheriff Casey Graham says his department received information from a parent at the district about the alleged threat towards another student on Tuesday (Mar 25th). The Bollinger County Sheriff’s Department investigated with the incident, notifying the school district who identified the suspect as Jared Linan of Gypsy, Missouri. Once contact was made and additional information was obtained, Linan was placed under arrest and transported to the Bollinger County Jail.

An arrest warrant was issued for Linan yesterday (Wed, Mar 26th) for one county of Terrorist Threat — 2nd Degree, a Class E felony. The felony arrest warrant was issued with a bond of $25,000.00 cash only. Linan remains incarcerated in the Bollinger County Jail at the time of this press release.

The Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office and Zalma school officials believe that this was an isolated threat towards an individual student and there is no active threat or danger towards other students or staff. The safety and security of students and staff at all of Bollinger County’s school districts is a top priority.
