PIEDMONT, MO (Show Me Live) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control has arrested 22-year-old Tanner D. Stevens of Piedmont, MO for allegedly possession child pornography. Stevens was formally charged on February 28, 2025, with three counts of Possession of Child Pornography after an investigation conducted by the Special Victims Unit of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that while conducting an online child pornography investigation in February 2025, the Special Victims Unit investigators identified a device associated with Stevens’ internet account which had uploaded potential child pornography. During the investigation, the video was confirmed to be child pornography.
On February 27th, investigators contacted Stevens at his residence in Piedmont. A video depicting child pornography was located on an electronic device during a forensic search. Stevens was interviewed and subsequently arrested for Possession of Child Pornography. He was then transported to the Wayne County Jail.
On February 28th, the Wayne Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Stevens with three counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Stevens is being held in the Wayne County Jail, without bond.
The above charges are a mere accusation and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
