STEELVILLE, MO (Show Me Live) — The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 18-year-old Noah Holland following a call to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of East Highway 8 in Steelville last week. According to a press release by the department, deputies encountered a volatile domestic assault involving the victim and the suspect, upon arrival on Friday, March 21st. The department says that Holland was “alleged to have assaulted the victim, and when she attempted to call for help, Holland forcibly took her cellular phone from her and destroyed it.”
The victim then ran to neighboring residence pleading for help. Holland then allegedly forced the victim away from the neighbors home by dragging her by her clothing. Holland then assaulted her again. Fortunately for the victim, neighbors intervened and were able to subdue Holland after he attempted to assault them.
Deputies placed Holland in handcuffs, but he continued to resist and fight with deputies. Before placing Holland in a patrol vehicle, he spit saliva and blood at one of the deputies, striking the deputy in the face and upper body. Holland was placed in a patrol vehicle but continued to resist before being transported to the Crawford County Adult Detention Center for processing and booking.
The next day, Saturday, March 22nd, Holland was issued a six-county warrant, including Domestic Assault 2nd-Class D Felony, Kidnapping in the 2nd Degree-Class D Felony, Robbery in the 2nd Degree-Class B Felony, Resisting Arrest-Class E Felony, Property Damage in the 1st Degree-Class E Felony, and Assault on LEO 4th Degree-Class A Misdemeanor.
Holland remains in custody after the Honorable Judge Patrick Horsefield ordered him to be held without bond.
